Problem 22.I meant to say statement. I don't know, perhaps I should use a trig function? How do I start this problem out?

You could use something like the law of cosines, I suppose. But I would just compare the two triangles. Two sides are equal between them, and the included angle in one is greater than that in the other. What does that tell you about the sides opposite the angles?

Note that this has nothing to do with similarity. The statements are inequalities.
