Suppose you are taking a logic class that meets Monday thru Friday.

The teacher states that next week there will be an exam but you students will not have any advance notice (regardless of how they get it!)

On which day can the teacher give the exam?

Oh - this is an old riddle explaining "pigeon - hole" principle!!

However, here, the teacher did not say that it will be an in-class exam!! But still the same dilemma continues......
