Hi

I understand you divide many of these functions to get the answers
but when?where?
would you multiple the functions?

thanks
Dave

This is a difficult question to answers - mostly because it has no direction. What do you mean by "divide many of these function"? Is there a particular example? What do you mean "multiply the functions"? Is there something in particular you are trying to solve or understand?

There are things, called "Identities" that can turn multiplication into addition and other useful transformations. Maybe this is what you are asking?

To get the answers to what questions?

I think any response would depend upon that!

Of course tan(x) is defined as sin(x) divided by cos(x) so to find sin(x) you would multiply tan(x) by cos(x). Is that what you are talking about?

but when?where?
would you multiple the functions?

thanks

It depends on what you want. If you know the values of sin(x) and cos(x) and you are asked for the value of sin(x)*cos(x), then you multiply. ....
