Is it possible for two matrices, that are not identical, to have the same determinant?

I don't know how to test this.

I THINK I've found two different matrices with the same determinant.

Am I correct, then, in saying that matrices don't have to be identical in order for them to have identical determinants?

Clearly, yes!

As you study linear algebra further, you will find that many matrices have determinant zero, for example, this characterizes a certain kind of matrix. (Any idea what that is?)
