potw2 2018 19.jpg It looks like it's the hypotenuse of a right triangle with legs 1(midpoint of diagonals of a square with side length 2) and sqrt(5) (hypotenuse of right triangle with lengths 2 and 1 as it's half of the side length of the cube), making it sqrt(6), did I make a mistake?

I think you meant to say that 1 is the height of the diagonals' midpoint (above the base), not the midpoint itself.

:idea: One way to confirm your result is by using triangle RPQ also (legs 2 and √2). Cheers
