Hello,

I am wondering if someone can brake this down for me.

I know the answer for x is 34 and y is 98 but not sure how they got to it.

The question is

Calculate the value of x and y.

When two st. lines intersect at point, it creates
vertical opposite angles and adjacent angles.

Do you recall any theorems regarding those angles?

I understand that, just can't get my head around where they got 34 and 98 from.

Don't understand what you mean?
The two adjacent angles here are (2x+30) and (3x-20). These are adjacent angles. What should be their sum?
