Denis doesn't recognize Orville Redenbacher. Maybe Denis doesn't have a microwave.

Had never heard of him; now I know him!:

Orville Clarence Redenbacher was an American businessman most
often associated with the brand of popcorn that bears his name.
The New York Times described him as "the agricultural visionary
who revolutionized the American popcorn industry.

Born: July 16, 1907, Brazil, Indiana, United States
Died: September 19, 1995, Coronado, California, United States
Cause of death: Drowning
Education: Purdue University
Spouse: Nina Redenbacher (1971–1991), Corinne Redenbacher (1928–1971)
Books: Orville Redenbacher's Popcorn Book

Orville became the microwave-popcorn King, but his company also sold kernels for use in traditional popping machines. He developed a hybrid corn plant which produced kernels that rarely failed to pop. In the 1980s, his television advertising was ubiquitous.

A report from the FDA indicates that a chemical coating used in microwave popcorn bags breaks down when heated into a substance called perfluorooctanoic or PFOA. The Environmental Protection Agency has identified PFOA as a “likely carcinogen.” (Orville didn't die of cancer, however. He drowned in his whirlpool, during a heart attack.)
