Q: Let S = {x, y, z } and R is a relation defined on S such that
R={(y,y),(x,z),(z,x),(x,x),(z,z),(x,y),(y,x)}
Show that R is reflexive and symmetric as well.

You can start by writing out what it means to say that R is reflexive. Is that true for this relation?

Please show any work you can do, including just stating that definition, so we can tell where you need help.

Then you can move on to the second part.

If you haven't done so already, please read this summary of our guidelines for asking questions.
