Vectors Problem

If lxl = 11, lyl = 23, and lx - yl = 30. Find lx + yl

x and y are vectors

I was thinking of using cosine law to solve for the angles and then use the values in the second diagram to solve for the length but I guess because the vectors are being subtracted you can't do that

The three given lengths form a triangle (or one diagonal of a parallelogram). You may find the law of cosines useful; or some more geometric method may work. I find the answer to be very simple.

As was said, though, please show your work so we can see what help you need.
