What does this question mean by given base area of 50cm when it is asking me to find the surface area?
I really don't know how to start.

The height is 12cm
The answer 439cm^2

Well to find the surface area you do need to know the surface area of all six sides including the base. I suspect that somewhere it says that the base is a square. Am I correct? If in fact the base is a square then can you find the dimensions of the square? How about the dimension of the four sides and their area? How about the area of the top?

Also the base is not 50cm but probably 50cm²
