The hypotenuse of a 30-60-90 degree right triangle measures 12. What is the measure of the shortest side. I got stuck on this question. I understand the basics of how to do it but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. I got 12 square 3.
In this triangle the ratios of the sides is 1:2:sqrt(3) {L:H:L}
You sorta have the right idea, but the wrong leg and missed a (1/2).
To put the triangle in that ratio, multiply it by 6.
6:12:6*sqrt(3)
Which is the shortest?
