A point moves along the hyperbola x[squared] - y[squared] =144 with a horizontal velocity u[underscript]x = 15.0 cm/s. Find the total velocity when the point is at (13.0, 5.00).

dx/dt = 15 Given

Differentiate
x^2-y^2=144
2x(dx)-2y(dy) = 0
dy/dx = x/y

At P(13,5)
dy/dx = x/y = 13/5 = 2.6
Chain rule:
dy/dt = dy/dx * dx/dt
dy/dt = 2.6 * 15 = 39

You can take it from there?
