Find an expression for the volume of the box in terms of (x) alone.

I allready have the value of length (x), width (x), and the height (h)

the formula I used is V = LWH, I don't understand how to find volume with only using x alone.

How are x and h related to the box's volume? In order to eliminate "h", further information is required. (It might help if you included the text of the question you are working on, and showed your work.)

x h SA V
4.0 11.5 216.0 184.0
4.5 9.8 216.0 197.4
5.0 8.3 216.0 207.5
5.5 7.1 216.0 213.9

Looks like you have square bottom boxes with sides = x,
and a varying height; your first one:
4 * 4 * 11.5 = 184 which is ok as Volume, and
4(4 * 11.5) + 2(4 * 4) = 216 which is ok as Surface Area.

You're asked for the Volume in terms of x ONLY?!
Best you can do is V = hx^2
Tell your teacher to stay off the booze!

Note: there's obviously something missing in your question;
else why show the surface area? Has no bearing on anything
in your question.

When showing a table click twice on the Code button and enter it between the boxes.
x h SA V
4.0 11.5 216.0 184.0
4.5 9.8 216.0 197.4
5.0 8.3 216.0 207.5
5.5 7.1 216.0 213.9
will look like
Code:
 x h SA V
4.0 11.5 216.0 184.0
4.5 9.8 216.0 197.4
5.0 8.3 216.0 207.5
5.5 7.1 216.0 213.9
Not vital in this one but better in any.
You could create another column t = h/x, find a number for t then use (t)x in place of h. Like V = 1.66x³ in the third. That would sorta satisfy the "only x" but it does seem silly.
