another one i need help with

Here's the question in the book:
Solve each inequality analytically, writing the solution in interval notation. (Hint: Once part (a) is done, the answer to part (b) follows from the answer to part (a).)
(a) 5-3x < 7+x (it's less than or equal to)
(b) 5-3x>7+x (it's just greater than)

So for the answer to part (a) I got x > -1/2 so in interval notation it would be [-1/2, "infinity")....right? so how does that answer lead to the answer of part (b)?
 
Slight bobble in (a). Check your math.

(b) is the negation (opposite) of (a) so any point included in (a) would not be included in (b) and vice versa.
