proving trig. inverses

Do you mean the following?

. . . . .Prove that, for all x, the following holds:

. . . . .sin<sup>-1</sup>(x) + cos(-x) = (pi)/2

I don't think this is true. Have you tried any values of "x" in this? For instance, what is the value of the left-hand side if x = 0?
