I am trying to find the integral of dy/(d^2+y^2)^(3/2)
where d is a constant. I thought about using u-substitution and u=d^2+y^2 but I am unsure if I can do that since I end up with du=2y. It has only been a couple of years. Its amazing how fast this stuff leaves my memory banks!
