the function is f(x) = (4-x)^(1/6)

the inverse function i found is f(x) = 4 - x^6

and now i can't find the domain and range of the inverse function, i think it is all real numbers for both but can someone help me out

For f(x), you're taking an even-index root. Can you have a negative inside it? So what is the domain of f(x)?

Look at the graph of f(x). What is the range of y-values it takes on? This is the range of f(x).

For the inverse, f-1, the domain and range are reversed.
