I am given two triangles..similar...triangle WJL larger in size, and Triangle QVB...<L is 120 deg, <W (x/2 +5), and <J is y degrees, <B is 2x degr...how do I find these variables? I dont know what to do...my lame teacher didnt teach this...Please help!!!
**Elizabeth told me that corresponding angles of similar figures have the same angle measures, so would x=10? How do I find y?

Since you haven't told us which parts correspond to which, I don't know how we would proceed. We can't see the picture you're looking at, so you will need to describe it in complete detail.

Also, when you reply, please show your work and reasoning. Thank you.

Sorry Elizabeth....<L=<B, <W=<Q, <J=<V....Is x 10 b/c if you plug in 10, to 2x (<B), that gives you 120 deg. (<L)..and b/c they correspond, shouldnt they be the same? I dont know how to find y though....

How do you get that 2x = 120 for x = 10?

Once you find the (correct) value for x, you can find the measure of angle W. Then you can use the angle-sum for any triangle, along with the measures of angle W and angle L, to find the measure of angle J.
