Hi again, Well I have a problem doing the law of sine. Here is the question

1) Suppose you are given a triangle where:
A= 0.5 B= 1 and c= 6

Then
C= 1.641592
a=_____
b=_____
Note: In this problem angles are measured in radians.

How I already found that C is 1.641592 By Pi-A-B = 1.641592. This is where I get confused at.

I use the law of sine

___a___ = ___6__* sin(0.5)
sin(0.5) sin(1.641595)

a = ______6*sin(0.5)______ = .052359213
sin(1.641592)

a = 6*sin(0.5) / sin(1.641592)

a = 1.82772114

Well I know thats the wrong answer but what am I doing wrong?

Your calculator is set to degrees, not radians. If it is a TI push MODE and click on radians.

I think everybody has made that mistake at least once. How do you think we tutors know to look for that first? :wink: :lol:
