I read the help you all have for domain and range, and it did help a little bit, but what I am mainly having trouble with is how to graph a function in order to get domain and range. PLEASE HELP! :? :? :?

the problems that say if the graph of a function f is as shown, determine the domain and range of f.

I cant scan the graph in but this might help you get a better understanding of what im having problems with

No need for scanning.

Ponder ALL possible vertical lines that intersect the graph. This constitutes the Domain.

Ponder ALL possible horizontal lines that intersect the graph. This constitutes the Range.

Example: x = 4

Only the vertical line, x=4, hits this one. Domain: x = 4.
All horizontal lines hit it. Range: All Real Numbers.

Start drawing horizontal and vertical lines.

Did you read the first response? I can't tell. Don't panic. Read it a couple of times.
