A random variable x is know to be uniformly distributed between 1.0 and 1.5

P(1.0 £ x £ 1.25)
 
If X is uniform in [a,b] then
\(\displaystyle \L P(a \le c \le X \le d \le b) = \frac{{d - c}}{{b - a}}.\)
 
You're just not paying attention in class. The distribution is Uniform. It is the simplest that can be devised.

It is defined on 1 < x < 1½
You want 1 < x < 1¼

You MUST see that. If you cannot, you are in the wrong class, sorry.
