Robin Williams records the total of the times he must wait for the audience laughter to subside. Below are time for 15 shows in which he used a new routine. Test the claim that the mean times is greater than 63.2 seconds, the mean time for his old routine. use alpha = .05

86; 45; 44; 78; 52; 79; 86; 66; 61; 57; 98; 44; 61; 99; 87

How do you find the values to insert in to the Test statistic formula??

I assume you have a calculator. Use it to find the mean and SD of the given data.

Teachers really should state when students are supposed to assume normality. Stats is so poorly taught it makes me sick.

This is going to sound stupid but my teacher never taught us how to find the SD on our calculator its a TI 83 Plus edition I can find the mean but get differnet SD when useing the different entry modes

You do have to decide between "Population" and "Sample". This is obviously a sample.
