working with percents: what is 14% of 38?

14% of 100 is:
100 divided into 100 parts then that number (1) times 14 (14) you do the same thing with 38
divide it by 100 then multiply that number (.38) times 14 (5.32)
this is the same thing Eliz said 'cept she showed you how to do it in one step (multiply and divide all at once - [14/100] * 38)
