Am very frustrated, used to be good in math 2 decades ago!!
5(2-x)+3x+3=3 Even our math tutor can't get this WHY??!?!?

Also, which program would anyone recommend purchasing for algebra help?
Had no idea there were so many to choos from. Thanks in advance for any help!

5[2-x]+3x+3=3
clear the bracket
10-5x+3x+3=3
combine likes
13-2x=3
subtract 3 from each side
10-2x=0
add 2x to each side
10=2x
divide both sides by 2
5=x answer
===========================================
proof
let x=5
5[2-5]+3[5]+3 =? 3
5[-3]+15+3 =? 3
-15+15+3=?3
3=?3 yes

5(2 - x) means multiply what's inside brackets by what's outside;
so 5*2 - 5*x = 10 - 5x

If your math tutor can't solve something so basic, then he/she should be fired!

At your level, I recommend a good teacher and a simple calculator

Best of luck in your learnings!
