I'm having trouble separating the variables on this differential equation. dy/dx = xy + 3x - y - 3 / xy -2x + 4y - 8

Did you try factoring?.

\(\displaystyle \frac{dy}{dx}=\frac{(y+3)(x-1)}{(y-2)(x+4)}\)
