Functions

I'm taking a class on set theory. One of the problems covers some fundamental review of functions. It's been a while since I covered this material, so I'm hoping that someone could please give me a pointer for coming up with the answer.

I'm ok with the function (R) and the function (S). I'm not fully clear on the (R * S). On the 3rd graph (right), I deleted S's arrow from (1,2) and the arrow from (7,5) as neither don't have an input from the R element.

Was this approach (deleting those two arrows) correct? If yes, my assumption is that (R*S) is a function. However, if I cannot remove (1,2) AND (7,5) for (R*S), I would think that this is not a function.

Could someone please provide me more details that would support either one of my two arguments?
