I have afeeling this a simple enough question buti just need to be shown the method of doing it.Thanks.

Calculate the dot product, a.b, of the following groups of vectors.
(1) a= (2,-2,-1), b=(3,0,-2)

Calculate the dot product, a.b, of the following groups of vectors.
(1) a= (2,-2,-1), b=(3,0,-2)

The dot product of two vectors is a scalar.
\(\displaystyle a\cdot b=(2)(3)+(-2)(0)+(-1)(-2)=8\)
