1) 17-x = 41
17-x + x =41+x = 17-41= 41-41+x= x= -24 Is this correct?

2) -(6-3)^5
-(3)^5 = -(3^5) = -243 Is this corrrect?

3)14-3^5 ÷ 3x3^3
14-243 ÷ 3x27
14-81x27=
14-2187= -2173 Is this correct?

1) Your answer, x = -24, is correct. However, your method for writing your work is not correct. You should write each change to the equation on a new line because, for example, 41+x does not equal 17-41.

2) Correct

3) If your original equation is indeed \(\displaystyle 14 - 3^5 \div 3 \times 3^3\) with no brackets or fraction notation, then your answer is correct.
