Ok I am stuck on a problem here I have (u^2 v^3)^4 (u^3vz^4)^2.

now here is what I started so far correct me if I'm wrong u^8v^12 U^6 vz^8 is this correct or am I missing something

I think I see two errors so far. You changed one of the "u"s to a "U". That is incorrect. I'll give an example of the other error. (ab[sup:39eyytra]2[/sup:39eyytra])[sup:39eyytra]3[/sup:39eyytra] = a[sup:39eyytra]3[/sup:39eyytra]b[sup:39eyytra]6[/sup:39eyytra], I guess you realize you have another step after making these corrections???

thanks for pointing out that capital u it was suppose to be a small u. And I was trying to type exponents u. Ok thanks for correcting that error.

But I am still stuck on the (u^2v^3)^4 (u^3v z^4)^2

so would that be u6v13z8 not sure if I distributed right.

Relax, Buddy!

Go bit by bit:
(u^2 v^3)^4 = u^8 v^12

(u^3 v z^4)^2 = u^6 v^2 z^8

So we now have: u^8 u^6 v^12 v^2 z^8 = u^14 v^14 z^8 ; kapish?

x^3*x^8

x*x^5

a^7*a^5

y^5*y11

2^3*2^5

x^6*y^8

x^3*x^9

3^7*3^4

a^3*b^2

Arivleg,

Are you asking for help?

If you are... all of the problems posted are similar. When you are multiplying like terms with exponents, you are supposed to add the exponents as shown in the pevious posts.

example

\(\displaystyle x^5*x^6=x^{5+6}=x^{11}\)
