I dont know how this website works but im hoping someone can help me!

Asks to simplify

x ^ 1/4 / x^8/13 =

I am not understanding how they get the numerator the answer is -19/52 if that helps please help!

When you have a ratio of powers, and the base is the same on top and bottom, there's a property for that:

x^n/x^m = x^(n - m)

If you don't know how to simplify 1/4 - 8/13, click HERE, and look at lesson 12.

Thank you! I guess I forgot to add the x^ on the question
That's not all: you need the BRACKETS also.
x^-19/52 is NOT the same as x^(-19/52) : can you see WHY?
