The board index shows a red icon for the calculus board, but when I click unread posts the site tells me there are none.

I tried logging off and back in, but the issue remains.

I checked the calculus board index. I don't see any unread posts. :?

Now the Administrative Issues icon is red, too.

But I had already read my post above!

Why are these icons red, when I've viewed all of the posts.

I also just tried clicking the "Mark forums read" link. The site responds by telling me that all forums are read already.

The issue remains.

There is a bunch of weirdness on the boards.

  • Incorrect icons[/*:2prstawz]
  • Non-moderators deleting other users' posts[/*:2prstawz]
  • SPAM posts appearing by newly-registered users (somehow bypassing the screening process)[/*:2prstawz]
  • Some users editing other users' posts[/*:2prstawz]
  • Several threads in which the [x] button appears on all posts therein[/*:2prstawz]
  • Several uploaded images missing[/*:2prstawz]

Is the moderator control panel supposed to open for any user? It appears on the top of the board-index page, for me, and I am able to enter it.

The Moderator Control Panel front page reports that user ldafds716 locked this thread.

Why do some new users have access to moderator privileges?

Update on the icon issue. It self-resolves, then reappears.

Currently, the algebra-board icon is red, but all threads have been read by me.

I notice this issue about once every three days.

Perhaps the boards are going down, just like our civilization.
