Hello, thomrhine!

Trouble undestanding this
If this is true, you need more help than we can provide.

1. Describe the parameter shift: f(x)+7

2. Describe the parameter shift: h(x-8)

3. Describe the parameter shift: f(x-5)-9

1. Given: .\(\displaystyle w \:=\:f(x) + 7\)

The graph of \(\displaystyle w\) is the graph of \(\displaystyle f(x)\) moved up 7 units.

2. Given: .\(\displaystyle y \:=\:h(x-8)\)

The graph of \(\displaystyle y\) is the graph of \(\displaystyle h(x)\) moved 8 units to the right.

3. Given: .\(\displaystyle z \:=\:f(x-5) - 9\)

The graph of \(\displaystyle z\) is the graph of \(\displaystyle f(x)\) moved 5 units right and 9 units down.

reflections quadratic functions

TRouble with graph of g(x) =f(-x) versus graph of g(x) = - f(x). I guess what does the graph look like when the negative is inside the parenthesis and when ouside??
