write an equation in point-slope form that has the same slope as -x+9y=12 and goes through point (-2,3)

Hi Hatch,

This would require you to know what the "point-slope" form of a linear equation looks like. I assume you know that from your studies.

Point-Slope Form: \(\displaystyle (y-y_1)=m(x-x_1)\)

You're going to have to find the slope of the graph of your given linear equation. Can you do that? Can you solve the equation for y to put it in slope-intercept form?

If you can do all of the above, then you simply substitute the point coordinates you have for \(\displaystyle x_1\) and \(\displaystyle y_1\), and the slope you just found for \(\displaystyle m\)

Try it.
