I was wondering if an Asymptote could be an imaginary number.

Example: 15 / ( x^2 + 25)

If you solve it out to find the asymptote, you get 5i. I'm not sure if you are able to graph this, or you simply cannot graph this asymptote.

Thank you for reading.

Just like imaginary roots are not considered as intercepts - x = a ± ib is not considered an asymptote.
