I am having trouble with this:

Write four points that satisfy this equation:

y=2x+1


Does this mean to just pick four points on the same line?

Yes pick 4 distinct points that lie on the line given in the problem. An infinite number of solutions exist, but I would just do something like
(0 , _), (1 , _), (2 , _), (3 , _) fill in the blanks.
