Hi all - can someone explain the logic behind the following problem.

At a concert, 1/4 of the tickets are reserved for VIPs, meanwhile 2/5 of the tickets are seated tickets and the rest are non-seated tickets. Calculate the fraction that represents the VIP tickets and the seated tickets in the concert, assuming all the tickets are sold out.

Thank you

I interpret the problem as asking for the sum \(\displaystyle S\) of the fraction of VIP and the fraction of seated tickets. Hence:

\(\displaystyle \displaystyle S=\frac{1}{4}+\frac{2}{5}=?\)

I got the answer right. yay! , thanks again :)
