hello,

Can someone please help me solve this problem.

Find A, B, C, Ta, Tb, Tc.

Given:
1. A + B + C + Ta + Tb + Tc = 600,000
2. Ta+ Tb + Tc = T
3. T = 31,280
4. Ta = 5.5% of A
5. Tb = 5.5% of B
6. Tc = 14.5% of C

It cannot be solved uniquely. There are 5 equations and 6 unknowns (or 6 equations and 7 unknowns).

As Subhotosh Khan said, it can not be solved uniquely. However, if you do want the non-unique solutions, start substituting: Use (2) & (3) to reduce 1 and use (3) - (6) to rewrite (2) to get
A + B + C = 568720
55 A + 55 B + 145 C = 31280000
Now assume you know A and re-write those two equations as
B + C = 568720 - A
55B + 145 C = 31280000 - 55 A
You now have two equations in two unknowns and can solve for B & C as functions of A, then solve for Ta, Tb, and Tc as functions of A.
