I think you mean \(\displaystyle D\in (-\pi,\pi)\) an open interval. Does \(\displaystyle D=0\) solve it? If \(\displaystyle D\ne 0\) can you say that \(\displaystyle \cos(D)=\dfrac{\sqrt2}{2}.\)
