From a group of 11 teachers, four will be chosen to form a committee. One teacher will be chairperson of the committee and the others will serve as members. In how many ways can the committee be formed?

This is a simple choose 4 from 11 problem (combination). Your textbook should have several worked-out example problems. Exactly where are you stuck?

Suppose for a moment that there are 30 different ways of choosing 4 from 11. So what do you now have to do to each of these 30 groups of 4?
