Point P [is located at] (2,7)

Show that P lies on [the curve] C
For a point to lie on the curve, what must be true about the point and the curve? In particular, what must be true about the x- and y-coordinates of the point, and the x- and y-values for the line's equation? (Hint: You learned about this for straight-line equations, and the connection is exactly the same for this non-linear equation.) ;)
