A straight line a slope of 2 and intersects the y-axis at y=-2. Deduce the equation of the line and plot it

Could someone help with this exercise? I can not understand what to do

Do you know the meaning of "slope" and "intercept" (in reference to a straight-line)?

What would be the equation of a straight line if you were given the "slope" (= m) and "y-intercept" (= b)?

The formula you need to use is in the section (or chapter) on straight-line equations in your book. Since they've given you the slope and the y-intercept, you'd probably want to use the slope-intercept formula. (here)

If you get stuck (after re-reading the section in your book, reviewing your class notes, and studying the lesson at the link), please reply showing your thoughts and efforts so far. Thank you! ;)
