Hello,

I am stuck on a homework problem.. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the problem:

Find all of the exact solutions to the equation


2x5 + sqrt (12) j = -2

Write your answers using both Euler's Formula and Phasor Notation.

The modulus of x^5 is 2. So the modulus of x is the 5th root of 2.

The argument of x^5 is 4pi/3 +2k*pi. So the arg of x is (4pi/3+2k*pi)/5. To find the 5 unique arguments, take k=0,1,2,3,4.
