1) Quadrilateral JKLM is a rhombus. If the measure of angle LMK is 36°, find the measure of angle KJM.

2) In the right triangle ABC, the measure of angle B is 90°, the length of side AB is 5, and the length of side AC is 12. Find the length of side BC. Round to the nearest tenth, if necessary.

Help?

1) Look at the theorems (rules) they gave you regarding opposite and adjacent angles in rhombi.

2) Since this is a right triangle, you should be able to use the Pythagorean Theorem.

I'll help you w/the second. Draw that picture so you can see what is 'happen:

So as Stapel said use Pythagorean Theorem (\(\displaystyle a^2\,+\,b^2\,=\,c^2\)) in which \(\displaystyle a\,&\,b\) are the legs and \(\displaystyle c\) is the hypotenuse (the side opposite the \(\displaystyle 90^o\)

hint ... diagonal KM breaks the rhombus into two congruent isosceles triangles.

The hint should give you more than enough information to determine the measure of angle J.
