Hi all, I am having a brain cramp. I have a division question, and since I didn't do well in this area in my Algebra 2 class, I thought I would try to get some help. The question is:

Divide x^3-4 by x-4 and check.

I greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks

You can use synthetic division or long division. You choose.

In either case, you'll have to add place holders for the missing terms.

x3 + 0*x2 + 0*x - 4

Thx tkhunny! I forgot about synthetic division, which just happens to be something I did understand in my class. I appreciate the help!
