First, decompose integral into sum of 3 simpler integrals:
Code:
  4 4 4
 / x^(3/2) dx + / x^(1/2) dx - / x^(-1/2) dx
  1 1 1

Now apply x^k power rule (k constant NOT equal to -1) to obtain each integral.
(Note: k = -1 is special case you'll learn about later.)
