Find Area of Shaded Region

A circle has radius r center at O. Find the area A of the shaded region as a function of the central angle theta.

I just want the formula(s) needed to find the answer.
 
It's a little hard without the drawing.

Generally, though, assuming you have a pie-shaped wedge cut out, it's just proportional to the area of the entire circle. Try it with a central angle of 180º. It should look a lot like half the circle.
