If it rained 1 inch over 1 square mile. How much does the water weigh? If you can solve it can you help me by explaining it?

One square mile is 5280 x 5280 square feet.
The volume of a 1 inch layer of rain over this area is
5280 ft. x 5280 ft. x 1/12 ft.
The weight of water is 62.5 lbs./cub.ft.

I leave the rest for you.

There are many ways of approaching this, but a good start would be to look at the density information with which they'd provided you. What value did they give you for the weight of some volume of water? And what were the units of weight and of volume?

Thank you! :D
