A cone is presented, where:

. . .h = height of the cone
. . .s = slant of the cone
. . .r = radius of the base

a. Find the circumference C of the cone in terms of x.

What I have done:

. . .x= 2 pi r

Is this correct?

thank you

How does "x" relate to the cone?

Thank you.

Eliz.

I am guessing they may be wanting to derive a formula which finds

circumference at any point on the cone, not just the base. Maybe using

proportions.
