i) Pick a variable for the first number.

ii) Use what you know about integers, and how "far apart" consecutive odds are, to create expressions for the next three numbers.

iii) Sum the variable in (i) and the expressions in (ii). Simplify.

iv) Set the result in (iii) equal to the given total.

v) Solve the equation in (iv) for the variable.

vi) Review, in (i), the definition of the variable, and use this to find the four numbers.
