Here is my problem I am stuck on:

Given g(x) = 3x2 - x + 7, find [g(a + h) - g(a)]/h.

now would the answer be something like this 6a + 3h + 2 ?

any help is greatly arrpeciated!

Thanks for trying to help rachael724, I appreciate the effort. Ok now let me see......... I think I just had the wrong number in there. It should be 1 instead of 2.

Because nobody was around at that moment. There is no paid staff waiting on-hand to provide instant replies. The tutors are all volunteers who surf by when we can. Many of us work, some of us live in very different time zones (so may be sleeping at the moment), and at least one of us (me) was off having lunch. You should be prepared to wait hours, if not days, for an online reply.

Meanwhile, when were you planning on posting the requested information?
